We take security of your data very seriously. All employees are required to authenticate themselves with the system before anything in the POS system is allowed. We have provided a touchscreen friendly way to authenticate your employees.
Step 1
Before any of your employees can use the POS system, they must be granted rights to the system by you. This can be done under Management->employees from the main menu. Choose the employee's permissions. You can also see the employee's login and set the pin number from this screen. These are the two main components used for authentication. We have provided an employee badge that can be printed from this screen. This badge contains a barcode that can be worn by the employee and scanned with a barcode scanner to begin authentication.
Step 2
Within the POS system, the user will be prompted with the following login screen. Type in the employee id from the screen above or simply scan the employee badge instead.
Step 3
Once the employee ID is verified, the employee will be asked to provide their pin number.
Step 4
Once the employee is authenticated, they will be allowed access to the POS system. The Login button at the top right of the screen will change to show they are currently logged in. The letter next to the name indicates if the employee is logged in permanently (P) or for this one transaction only (O) . If the user is logged in for the transaction, they will automatically be logged out at the completion of that sale.
